Setting up your Nighthawk router is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few simple steps. Whether you’ve just purchased a new router or need to reconfigure an existing one, follow this guide to get your router up and running.

What You’ll Need:

  • Nighthawk Router
  • Ethernet Cable (included in the box)
  • Modem (provided by your Internet Service Provider)
  • A device (laptop, smartphone, etc.) to connect to the router for configuration

  1. Unbox the Router – Remove the Nighthawk router from its packaging and make sure you have all the necessary accessories: the router, power adapter, and an Ethernet cable.

Step 2: Connect the Router to Your Modem

  1. Turn off Your Modem – Unplug the power cable from your modem.
  2. Connect the Modem to the Router – Plug one end of the provided Ethernet cable into the WAN or Internet port on your Nighthawk router. Plug the other end into your modem.

Step 3: Connect Your Device to the Router

  1. Wi-Fi Setup (Wireless):
    • Find the default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password on the router’s label (usually located on the bottom of the router).
    • On your laptop or smartphone, go to your Wi-Fi settings and select the Nighthawk Wi-Fi network.
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password and connect.
  2. Wired Setup (Ethernet):
